I love vegetables. Ironically, my taste buds did not seem to like sauteed vegetables when I got pregnant with my daughter. I think it’s the smell and taste of onions and garlic in it. I can only eat vegetables if it’s boiled or steamed. Honestly, I missed not hating garlic. Luckily, I learned some green juice recipes through the net. It’s a good way of loading up vitamins and minerals you need in one glass. Plus, kids will love it too.
Basically, you need 3 key ingredients: 2 cups of greens/vegetables, 2 cups of water and 3 cups of fruits. Put all the ingredients in a blender or a juicer, then blend away.
You can have below recipes as example:
Recipe 1:
- Spinach
- Broccoli
- Green pepper
- 1 cup water/coconut water/almond milk
- 1 cup ice cubes (optional, you can put in 2 cups of water instead if you do not like it cold)
- Banana (This will serve as a natural sweetener)
- Mango
- Apple
- Cucumber
- Carrots
- Honey (optional, if you want to enhance the sweetness)
Note: Add water if the texture is too thick for you
Recipe 2:
- Kale leaves
- Celery

- 1 cup water/coconut water/almond milk
- 1 cup ice cubes (optional, you can put in 2 cups of water instead if you do not like it cold)

You can play around with what you have available on your kitchen. You can also add yogurt to earn a plus points to the little ones. Just remember to wash ingredients properly to prevent any food-borne illness.
